To the Mapp Family
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Hattie Mapp. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of great sadness. Yes you have lost someone who was special to all. There is no doubt that Hattie Mapp touched the lives of many family members and friends. Now we are left with fond memories of her. This is a time period where strong love and comfort will be needed. There is no better source of comfort then what God can provide. ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) So what comforting words is He providing for your family today? It is this. He is telling your family, and all other families that He will restore your love ones life back to them. (John 5:28-29) These are not mere empty words. He is giving us His personal guarantee that the raising of the dead will take place. He backed this promise up with the preserving of accounts that speaks about this future arrangement. Here is just one such example recorded in the book of Acts9:36-42. There are eight other accounts that we can read that will help to build our confidences in this promise from God. So to the Mapp family we say keep this promise of God near your hearts. The resurrection to life for many will indeed take place. God has given us His personal promise. God does not lie. (Titus 1:2)

My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. May you find comfort in God's promise of a resurrection on a paradise earth where suffering and death will be no more. John 5:28,29 says in part, 'Do not be amazed at this. The hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus' voice and come out...' Through his son Christ Jesus and the heavenly kingdom government , all things will be made new and Jesus will awaken those now sleeping in death. Revelation 21:3-5. John 11:11,14. Psalms 37;29. To The Mapp Family, Almighty God created us to live, not to die. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "He has put eternity in their heart(our)." We die because we are imperfect, but God promises a resurrection of our dear loved ones. Revelation 21:4 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." May this scripture comfort you.
