Jesus was pained to see his disciples mourn the loss of Lazarus. Since Jesus is a perfect reflection of his Father, we can be sure that God is also pained to see us grieve over the loss of our loved ones. Losing a loved one is distressing and as comfort is needed from family and friends, it is my hope your family will find comforting the promise at Isaiah 25:8 where we are assured that "death will be swallowed up forever." I had the honor of meeting your family while caring for your mom at Sadie G Mays. Your parents love, devotion and respect for each other and those around them genuinely touched me. Your dad made a huge difference in my life just knowing him and talking to him about everyday life really made an impact on me. His journey and history was amazing, i will never forget him. Please know my heart aches with yours but i know he's with his love resting comfortably.
