Washington High School in 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Thomas Brantley and Curtis Williams. She nurtured five daughters and one son.  She worked for the main Post Office in Downtown Atlanta and Martech Station on Marietta Street in Atlanta retiring from the United States Post Office after 30 years of service in 1999.  Nita was a longtime member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church singing in the choir.  She was an outgoing person and enjoyed bowling and being a member of the Kings and Queens Bowling Club.  She bowled in a variety of bowling leagues and tournaments.
