Karin Hart Obituary

Karin Denice Hart

Ms. Karin Denice Hart of Fayetteville, GA, passed July 14, 2020.  A private memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. at our chapel.

Karin Denice Hart was born in Hempstead, New York on August 28, 1966. Her family moved to Atlanta in 1978.  She attended the former Westwood High School before being accepted into the A Better Chance (ABC) minority scholarship program where she finished high school in Edina, Minnesota.  She received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University, where she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Karin earned her MBA in finance from Georgia State University.  She furthered her education by receiving her Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute.  She maintained a career as a Senior Project Portfolio Manager at SITA in Atlanta, GA for 12 years.

Karin accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel United Methodist Church in Atlanta where she was active with the youth choir and participated in youth activities.  At Olivet Baptist Church in Fayetteville, she served on the usher board and was a member of the Zebulon Tribe of the church.  She was also a member of the East Point-College Park Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Karin was beautiful inside and out and had an infectious smile that captivated everyone around her.  She was fascinated with bird watching in the special bird house her father had built in her back yard. Each spring she captured pictures of eggs and her "grandbirdies" as they began to leave the nest. Her travels took her to such places as Paris, London, Copenhagen, Abu Dhabi, and Rome.  She was also the family's event planner and planned annual trips and family celebrations. Her last girls' trip adventure was an 11-day cruise in December 2019 that took her to Singapore and Malaysia.

Karin's daughter was the apple of her eye, the center of her universe, and the subject of her frequent Facebook posts.  She was extremely proud of Karmin’s athletic accomplishments in college as she won national trophies in track and field.  She was also looking forward to Karmin attending medical school next year.

Those left to fondly remember Karin's beautiful and full life include: her cherished daughter, Karmin Shute; parents, Barney and Catherine Hart; brother and sister-in-law, Kirkland and Charlene Hart; uncle, Dr. James McCain; niece, Mary Williams; best friend, Sandra Battle Wilson; a host of cousins and numerous special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made for Karmin’s scholarship fund to enroll in the Master of Physician Assistant Program (MPAP) via Paypal.me/KarminShute

Karin will forever be remembered for her positive and bubbly personality, and will never be forgotten by all that were blessed to know her.
