John Cleveland Marrable
Mr. John Cleveland Marrable of Atlanta, passed January 28, 2020. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 12 noon in our chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (11:00 AM). Interment, South-View Cemetery. John Cleveland Marrable, 72, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was born to the late Charles and Gracie Marrable, September 20, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. John graduated from Wendell Phillips High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University. John was a member Chicago’s Cosmopolitan Church, where he occasionally played the organ. John worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in Chicago and Cook County. Later, he moved to Atlanta using his healthcare skills at several hospitals before finally working at Emory University Hospital. He, eventually, went to work for the Jimmy Carter Center and Presidential Library where he held a number of supervisory positions. After retiring, John loved to spend time with friends, and was always there to help. John was very proud and truly loved his family. John is survived by his sister, Shirley Cunningham, and brother-in-law, William Cunningham. The family would like to convey their gratitude and appreciation for all expressions of kindness and sympathy shown during our time of bereavement. Your cards, telegrams, floral arrangements, visits, and prayers will be remembered, and we will remain eternally grateful.
