James Eric Walker of Decatur, GA passed July 27, 2020.  Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1 p.m. at McDonough Road Baptist Church, 352 McDonough Road, Fayetteville, GA 30214.  Condolences may be sent to  SheilaLoretta71@gmail.com.  They will be shared with my sisters, brothers and James girlfriend. They will be shared with my sisters, brothers and James girlfriend. James Eric Walker was born to the late Willie James Walker, Sr. and Albert Dean Smith on April 7, 1970.  He was the third of seven children and was a quite gentle soul.  Jamie as we called him loved his family and showed it often.  He was educated in the Dougherty , Worth Counties and Atlanta public school systems and graduated from The Southside Comprehensive High School in 1990.  He exceled in his academics and was a friend to many.

Jamie was employed by Zoo Atlanta and The J.W. Marriott at Lenox Square a great number of years.  He was a dedicated, dependable and hardworking employee who was loved by many.  When he was not working at the J.W. , he was picking up extra jobs as Security at other Marriott affiliates.

Jamie loved his video games and movie marathons.  He was a Trekkie, Sci-Fi, Marvel and DC comics fanatic.  He watched at home and often at the movie theater.  Jamie also loved to eat and snack.  Quick Trip was one of his favorite stops.  He also seemed to really enjoy York Peppermint Patties.  Jamie loved his siblings unconditionally and would always help them out if they were in need.  Every now and then depending on what he was thinking, you could catch him with that kind grin on his face.  Jamie shared his life with a very special and loving companion.  Jamie and Loretta met years ago, and a special bond was formed between them.

Jamie has a large loving family who will miss him in the coming days, months and years tremendously.  He joins five siblings who preceded him in death , Cynthia Denise Harris, Willie James "Dwight" Stephens, Caroline "Cal" Anderson, Angela Renee Walker King and Charles Lake.  Survivors ar his siblings, Lisa Ann Walker, Phyllis Renee Walker, Sheila Loretta Walker Staples (Stephen), Carla Tina Harris Pablo (Nemesio), Charles Kendrick Harris, Willie James Walker, Jr. (Davida) Teresa Walker Henry, Leronis Walker, Anthony Walker (Shannon), April Jackson (Larry), Barbara Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his faithful significant companion, Loretta "Lisa" Moore.
