She is survived by three children, Meliton (Johnny) Barron, Carlos (Marie) Hendrix, Cedric (Tangela) Hendrix, two sisters, three brothers, seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Catherine Hendrix was born December 22, 1939 to the late Walter and Elaine Sherwood Cobb in Atlanta, GA.  She was the second oldest of her siblings.  Catherine graduated from David T. Howard High School class of 1957. She was an active member of her High School class 1957 reunions.

She worked for Aetna Life Insurance company as an underwriter for 24 years and Equifax for six years. Catherine loved God and her church.  She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church for about 50 years participating in the Gospel Choir and Outreach Ministry where she visited homes every month.  Catherine always had a smile on her face and loved to help others.

Among those who preceded her death are late husband, Donald Hendrix and son, Don Hendrix.
