Ms. Barbara Jean Harwell passed March 14, 2020.  Barbara Jean Harwell Abebe was Born February 28 to William Thomas Harwell Sr. and Annie Pearl Harwell in Columbia TN and gained her wings March 14th 2020. Barbara accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a early age at Fairview PB Church under the leadership of Rev Allen Dawson in Columbia, TN were she served as a faithful member who truly loved the lord. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1977,and received degrees from both Columbia State and Draughons College in Nashville Tennessee. Barbara has met many faithful friends and love ones while working at The Urban League, Fisk university, MCI, Sprint, GT Telecomunications, and for the last 23 years Verizon Wireless. God Blessed Barbara with the man of her dreams who became her husband, friend, and confidant. The late Esayase Abebe. In this union she became the step mom to Ms. Mekedlawit Esayase.

Survivors ,she cherished and adored her mother Mrs. Annie Pearl Harwell from Columbia TN, Brothers MSGT William Tee (Sue) Harwell from San Antonio, TX, Chief Reginald Warren( Chief Stephanie) Harwell OL Fallon,IL , and Deconsalon Montell Polk from Atlanta Ga. Sisters ,Delores (James) Taylor from Nashville Tn and Lorelei Von Harwell Dumes from San Antonio, Tx. Nephews SMSGT Christopher (Priscilla) Harwell from San Antonio, Tx, Junell M. ( Tania) Dumes from San Antonio, Tx,  Austin ( Janice) Harwell from Austin, Tx. and the late James M. Dumes San Antonio Texas. Nieces Adrienne (Aubrey) Gaud from San Antonio Texas , LaMaka (Tytiana) Dumes from San Antonio Tx, and Candice Harwell  Far Rock Away New York. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was a skilled photographer and enjoyed writing.
