Walter L. Vincent

Mr. Walter Lawrence Vincent of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015.

Walter graduated from Miller Grove High School, where he was a part of the championship wrestling team. He attended Fort Valley State University and was a ROTC Cadet and member of the Pershing Rifles Fraternity. He worked at the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club, where he loved the children and they loved "Mister Walter" or "Mr. W."

A Celebration of Walter's life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:30PM at Central Baptist Church, 795 Dickens Road, Northwest, Lilburn, Georgia. Interment, Westview Cemetery. His remains will be placed in state at the church at 12:30PM. Friends are requested to assemble at the church at 1:00PM.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5:00PM-7:00PM in the chapel of Carl M. Williams Funeral Directors, Inc., 492 Larkin St. SW, Atlanta, Georgia.

Walter is survived by his mother, Daphne Bryant Vincent; father, Walter M. Vincent; grandmother, Mrs. Revonia "Ronnie" Bryant; fiancee, Veronica Vanderhorst; a host of other relatives and many friends, including the Vincent, Bryant and Radden families.
