Dr. W. James Abbington, Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA, passed September 27, 2025.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 80 Walnut St., SW, Rev. Kelly M. Smith, Jr., Pastor, Rev. Cynthia Hale, officiating, Bishop Samuel R. Moore, Eulogist.  The remains will be placed in state at the church at 1 p.m.  The public viewing will be on Friday, October 3, 2025 at our chapel from 1:00 PM to 7:00 p.m.

The service will be livestreamed through the Friendship Baptist Church's website on Saturday.
