The Funeral Service for Mrs. Virginia T. Whatley will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00AM at Providence Baptist Church, 2295 Benjamin E. Mays Drive, Southwest, Atlanta, Georgia. Her remains will be placed in state at church at 10:00AM.

Cherishing the gift of her life are: her two children, Patricia Whatley Showell and Charles Raven Whatley, Jr. (Heather); five grandchildren, Gregory L. Showell, Jr. (Joi), Courtney S. W. Showell, Sr. (Jaclyn), Ali Whatley, Kayla Horton and Tyler Horton; seven great-grandchildren, Gregory L. Showell, III, Garrett Showell, Grant Showell, Gabrielle Showell, Courtney S. W. Showell, Jr., Chloe Showell and Carmen Showell; one sister-in-law, Grace Hines; many nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
