Verna James Henderson

Mrs. Verna James Henderson of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013.

Funeral service for Mrs. Verna James Henderson will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12 noon at Radcliffe Presbyterian Church, 286 Hamilton E. Holmes Dr., NW with Rev. Dr. Andrew Stephens, Jr., pastor, officiating.  Interment, South-View Cemetery.  The remains will be placed in state at the church at 11 a.m.

The Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the church at 6 p.m.

Survivors are her brother, Joseph (Wanda) James; nieces, Melba James (Milton) Seals, Gwendolyn Phillips Lee, Maryalyce Phillips, Verna Phillips Colson; niece and caretaker, Ivy James; nephews, Vernon James, and Quenton Phillips; cousin, Bessie Rounsaville and Lucious Rousaville; special friend, Phyllis (Sam) Thomas; a host of great nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Verna J.
