Mr. Ronald McMauley passed on April 15, 2013. The Adventurous life of Ronald "Rabbit" McCauley began March 27, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia, second oldest of six kids of Edwin McColley & Claudell Gartrell. He was married to the love of his life, Brenda Sharp McCauley in the 1975.
He received his education from Samuel Howard Archer High School and also attended Jobs Corps for welding and crafts. He also played football at Weber State for two years. "Rabbit" entered the US Army in 1967, while serving his county he did many travels abroad. He was discharged from the Army in 1971. Rabbit entered into the hospitality industry where he worked for 21 years at the Westin Peachtree Plaza and Omni Hotels in Atlanta, Georgia.
"Rabbit" was known for his unique sense of humor , wisdom, and ability to entertain anybody, anywhere at any time. "Rabbit" always left an impression. His favorite music was Classic Rock .
Ronald "Rabbit" McCauley will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His legend and humors are kept alive by his brothers, Jeffrey,and Larry. Truly one a million!
He was preceded in death by his brother Edwin Jr. McColley and sister Sherrie McColley.
He Leaves to cherish his loving memories (in order from oldest to youngest) his children Zepplingnar (Plenna), Thessa, Dax, Corey (Aligator), Toni, and Drin McCauley. His grandchildren: Shae, Tony, Darrius, Dax Jr., and Jamarie. He also leave behind a host of nieces, nephews , and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10 am at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2000 Marietta Blvd., NW with Rev. Eldson McGhee, officiating.
Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:30 am.
