With profound love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate the life of Renée McCoy, who departed this life on May 22, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are comforted by the countless memories, lessons, and blessings she shared with all who knew and loved her. Renée was born on August 28, 1969, in Manassas, Virginia. From an early age, she possessed a vibrant spirit, a compassionate heart, and a natural ability to connect with others. She attended St. Therese Catholic School and later Bishop McDevitt High School in Philadelphia, where her warmth, intelligence, and enthusiasm for life were evident to all who knew her. As a young woman, Renée nurtured her love for the arts through her involvement with Freedom Theatre, where she studied acting, dance, singing, and technical stage production. Her creativity and confidence flourished through these experiences. She was also a proud cheerleader for the Ivy Hill Drill Team, sponsored by the Philadelphia Athletic League, and enjoyed participating in a variety of sports throughout her youth. Education was one of Renée's lifelong passions. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics from Hampton University and later received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Decision Science and Information Systems from Clark Atlanta University.
