Dr. Ozell Sutton

Dr. Ozell Sutton, Civil Rights pioneer, 90, of Atlanta, died Saturday, December 19, 2015.

The Funeral Service for Dr. Ozell Sutton will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00AM at Cascade United Methodist Church, 3144 Cascade Raod, Atlanta, the Reverend Lawrence L. Young, Pastor with Dr. William V. Guy, officiating and Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr., Eulogist. Entombment, The Westview Abbey at Westview Cemetery. Dr. Sutton's body will be placed in state at the church at 10:00AM on the morning of the service.

Public Viewing for Dr. Sutton will take place on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 5:00PM-6:00PM in the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, 830 Westview Drive, Southwest, Atlanta with The Connecting Links Service of the  Magnolia Chapter of The Links, Inc. at 6:00PM, followed by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omega Service at 6:20PM.

Survivors are his wife, Joanna Freeman Sutton; daughters, Angela Cassandra Sutton, Alta Phatena Sutton, Dietre Jo Sutton; grandchildren, Samuel Earl Martin, Jr., Afrika Jonée Pratt-Ansa, Angela Cassandra Martin and Khalil J. Ozell Sutton (Nikki); six great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends
