The Life of Menyea Raelond Carmichael
Mr. Menyea R. Carmichael of Smyrna, GA, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed March 29, 2020.
Menyea Raelond Carmichael, affectionately known as "Yea" and "Mike"; was born on February 11, 1970, the second of three children to Raymond W. and Brenda L. Cade Carmichael. Growing up in the Collier Heights community, he attended Thomas Jefferson Guice Elementary School, and graduated from Collier Heights Elementary School, and Frederick Douglass High School. After high school, he continued his education at The University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
As a child, Menyea received his spiritual nourishment from Antioch Baptist Church, North, under the pastorate of The Reverend Cameron M. Alexander; and, later in life at Hillside Chapel and Truth Center, Inc., under the pastorate of Bishop Barbara L. King, Minsiter – Founder.
Menyea worked tirelessly in management at TitleMax for 10+ years; and, later worked at First American, in management, as well. When the rigors of Corporate efforts took its toll, he sought a simpler, more rewarding path, and began working for Uber full-time, in 2017. During this time, he navigated his way throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan area, learning more about the city and its offerings, and he even met a few celebrities along the way!
