Mrs. Louise Jones Outlaw
Mrs. Louise Jones Outlaw of 964 Hubbard Street, Southwest, mother of Mr. Otis Outlaw, passed February 11, 2015. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12 noon at Bethany Baptist Church, 1109 McDaniel St., SW with Reverend Dr. C. E. White, pastor and eulogist, Apostle Robert Williams, Sr., officiating. Interment, Westview Cemetery. The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10:00 a.m. The family will recieve friends Friday, February 20, 2015 at our chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. Daisy Laura Louise Jones was born on September 23, 1921 in McDonough, GA, to William and Lillie B. Jones.
Louise began her Christian journey and accepted Christ at an early age by joining Rock Springs Baptist Church. She received her education at Rock Spring and Henry County Training Schools in McDonough. Louise met and married James O. Outlaw, Sr. on August 6, 1946, and to this union one son, James O. Outlaw, Jr. was born.
She later became a member of Bethany Baptist Church in 1956 under the leadership of the late Reverend R. H. Hicks and continued her service under the leadership of the late Reverend W. L. Sullivan. She served faithfully in the Senior Choir and Pastor's Aide Ministries. Louise was also an active member of the Pittsburg Civic League and the Emmaus House/Senior Strollers for 32 years. She loved working and traveling with her fellow Senior Strollers.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillie B. Jones; brother, William (Pete) Jones Jr. and her husband, James O. Outlaw, Sr.
Louise leaves to cherish her memory a loving and caring son, James Otis Outlaw, Jr.; three grandsons, James O. Outlaw, III. (Stacey), LaBairian S. Outlaw, and DeMarcus K. Outlaw (Brittany) of Fort Wayne, IN; a special niece, Elizabeth Leeks; two very special cousins, Eurnice Nolan and Flossie White; neices and nephews, Louise Young of Helena, GA, James W. Moore (Barbara) of McRae, GA and Otis Moore (Ora) of Chicago, IL a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, the Bethany Baptist Church family and many friends.
