Mrs. Lillie Mae Nelson Hubbard of East Point, GA, passed June 7, 2023.

Born June 2, 1941 in Gay Georgia to the Late Willie Morris Nelson and Lille Hood Nelson. She is the cherished wife of John Wesley Hubbard, Sr and mother of Priscilla King and John, Jr. She leaves behind four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Affectionately known as "Mae', she enjoyed traveling, dancing, exercise and taking care of her family. Mae retired from the Federal Reserve after 36 years, but continued to be very active in her church and community until her untimely death. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Warren Memorial United Methodist Church, 181 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd., SW, with Reverend Leon Matthews, Senior Pastor, officiating, Reverend Richard D. Wynn, Eulogist.  Internment,  Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10 a.m.  Public viewing will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at our chapel from 1 to 6 p.m.
