Mrs. Laura Etta Lynem Rates

It is with great sadness that the family must announce the passing of Laura Etta Lynem Rates on Monday, August 19th, 2019 in Rome, Georgia, born November 2, 1924; died August 19, 2019.  Laura is preceded in death by her parents Sheley Lynem III and Marie Hayes Lynem; husband Reverend Dr. Norman M. Rates; siblings Carl Lynem (Mary), Marie Lynem Johnson (David), Sheley Lynem IV (Mary); and Lillie Lynem Patterson (Quentin).  She leaves to mourn her two daughters (Sondra and Shari), one grandson (Jordan (Marcella), three great granddaughters (Ricci, Jayla and Mya) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held  Saturday, August 31, 2019 12:00 Noon First Congregational Church, UCC 105 Courtland Street Atlanta, GA 30303
