Mr. Larry J. Mims, Sr. of East Point, GA passed June 20, 2019. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 80 Walnut St., SW, with Reverend Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr., Pastor, officiating.  Interment, South-View Cemetery.  The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10 a.m.  The Omega Service of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be held on Tuesday (THIS EVENING) in our chapel at 6:30 p.m.  He is survived by his devoted wife, M. Linda Leslie Mims; daughters, Delores Ann Mims Reeves (Roger) Leslie Galloway George; son, Larry J. Mims, Jr.; sisters, Ora Mims Howell (Jarvis) Shelia Mims Pruitt; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The cortege will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m.
