Kenneth Wynn

A Homegoing Celebration in Tribute to the Life of Mr. Kenneth Taylor Wynn will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00AM at Friendship Baptist Church of Atlanta, 437 Mitchell Street, Southwest, Atlanta, Georgia, Reverend Dr. Emmanuel McCall, Interim Pastor. Interment, Lincoln Cemetery. His remains will be placed in state at the church at 10:00AM on the morning of the service.

Mr. Kenneth Taylor Wynn was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Willie A. Wynn and Sara Taylor Wynn on July 13, 1934. At the age of three, he began playing the piano, and so began his love of music.  He was a pianist for several churches in the Atlanta area before becoming the organist at his church, Friendship Baptist Church of Atlanta.  He faithfully served Friendship's Music Department in various capacities until his death on December 6, 2013.  Mr. Wynn also helped in the operation of his family's gas and automotive service station in southwest Atlanta for several years.

Mr. Wynn graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, N.H. in 1953, and attended Harvard University. He was an avid sports fan, with a special interest in watching collegiate and professional baseball.

He will be greatly missed by his cousins, Barbara A. Dixon (Charles), Dolores Taylor (Robert), as well as a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
