Jerome E Landers, the son of the late Willie W. and Irene W. Landers was born on April 21, 1948, at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Jerome was called home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2026. Jerome was called, “Ernest” his middle name, by the family and a few friends. He attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1966. He worked for Rayloc Auto Parts for thirty years. After retiring from Rayloc, he and his brother Bernard opened Landers Brothers Barber shop in East Point, Georgia for the next twenty years.

Jerome enjoyed sports, mostly baseball and football. He also enjoyed playing cards, poker, spades, etc. and good food.

Jerome was a devoted son, a father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Anthony Landers. two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by one daughter, Dion Undine Landers – Scott; one grandson, Draveon D. Scott; one son-in-law, Andre C. Scott; two sisters, Delores Landers Walker of Chamblee Georgia and Claudia B. Landers of Atlanta. GA; two brothers, Percy A. Landers of Chamblee, Georgia and Bernard D. Landers of Ellenwood, GA; a host of nieces and nephews; two stepchildren and other relatives and friends.  

Funeral service will be Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Carl M. Williams Chapel with The Reverend Frederick A. Dyer officiating.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  The public viewing will be on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the chapel from 1 t0 6 p.m.
