James Reid

Mr. James Reid, age 73, of Carrollton, Georgia passed October 1, 2014. Mr. Reid was born April 29, 1941 to the late Truitt and Nanny Lee Reid.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, daughter, Linda Reid; two sisters, Sally Pearl Reid and Evelyn Boykin, and two brothers, Charlie Reid and L.C. Reid.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Brenda Reid and Marie Reid; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Annise (Garron) Freeman, Jeannette Rhodes, and Irene Boykin; brother, Stanley Reid; his life partner, Joyce Beasley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Universal Faith Deliverance Church, 148 Mt. Zion Blvd, Carrollton, GA.  The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10 a.m.
