Mr. Frederick Allen Barnes was born on September 3, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Roosevelt Barnes, Sr. and LaVerne Franklin Barnes. Frederick went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2013, after a long illness.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Cleveland's Olivet Institutional Baptist Church. He was exposed to different denominations, to decide which one he would become a member, to offer his service to God.

He attended Cleveland Public Schools, where he earned a diploma from John F. Kennedy Senior High School. After graduation, he attended Cleveland Job Corp, where his career training in the "BRAC" Program, which he selected, landed him a position with the CSX Railroad System, where he worked for 35 years, until he retired due to illness.

He loved to travel, read, cook, play Scrabble, Bid Whist, Back Gammon and was an avid Chess Player. He also enjoyed music and had a large music collection.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a brother, Roosevelt Barnes, Jr.; mother, LaVerne Barnes; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and a vast family of relatives in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, Mississippi and a multitude of friends.

A memorial service will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at a later date.
