Mrs. Ernestine Norwood Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at The First Congregational Church, UCC, 105 Courtland St., NE, with The Reverend Dwight Andrews, Senior Pastor, officiating.  Interment, Westview Cemetery. Public viewing for Mrs. Ernestine Norwood Johnson will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 9:00AM-7:00PM in the chapel.  The family will recieve friends at the church on the morning of the service at 10 am, followed by The Girl Friends Ceremony at 10:30 am.

​She is survived by her children, Michele R. Johnson, Stephen R. Johnson, and John E. Johnson (Gaye); grandchildren, Gary T. Johnson (Tina), Regina F. Felix (Henry), and Salena N. Johnson; great-grandchildren, Gary Ross Johnson, Myles Robert Felix and Carter Miguel Felix;  beloved former daughter-in-law, Saundra Y. Ferriera and Patricia Lawrence.
