Funeral Service for Ms. Delores W. Rambo will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Lincoln Cemetery, 2275 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30314. The public viewing will be Monday, August 31, 2026, at our chapel from 1 to 6 p.m. 

Delores Wyndel Green Rambo was born on February 9, 1943, to Elsie Parker and Leroy Green in Texas. Delores was a vibrant and loving soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. At the age of nine, she moved to California, where she spent her formative years. Delores married Larry B. Rambo, and together they raised four beautiful children. Throughout her life, she embraced a variety of career paths, ultimately dedicating her time and talents to serving the government as a secretary in California, where she built many lasting friendships. After relocating to Georgia, Delores devoted a decade to caring for her mother, demonstrating her unwavering love and commitment to family. Her heart was always open to her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished and helped raise with grace, patience, and warmth. Delores was more than a caregiver; she was a beautiful woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Known for her spirited personality, she loved to dance, celebrate, and bring people together for joyful gatherings. Her laughter was infectious, and her zest for life could light up any room. Above all, Delores found strength, comfort, and purpose in her faith. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and became a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, striving to embody the principles of love, kindness, and compassion throughout her life. Delores Rambo will forever be remembered for her love, her laughter, her generous heart, and her unwavering spirit. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, faith, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Delores is survived by her beloved children, Bridgette Rambo Smith and Elisa Rambo Minor, as well as her bonus daughters, Lisa Adams and Penny Greene.

She is also lovingly remembered by her life partner, Kenneth Douglas, who shared a meaningful and cherished part of her life. Delores leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Sydney Johnson, Tayla Young, Miracle Wilkerson, Kevin Wilkerson, Jahmelia Arnold, Rakeem Minor, Candere Minor, Darrin Minor, Delores Dawson and her husband, Sagnelli Dawson II, Lynnisa Berry, Raymond Berry Jr., and Treasure Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her God-grandsons, Keneil Sasser and Kenny Chambers. Delores leaves a cherished legacy of 22 great-grandchildren: China, Louis, Raymond, Je’Corey, London, Jaden, Knox, Journey, Scarlett, Savannah, Shiloh, Sidney Jr., Sharday, Darriaun, Jeffrey, Tajenna, Dayen, Mia, Kevin, Kaylynn, Jahmir, and Jahleah. She is also survived by her three great-great-grandchildren, Zohayla, Lindan, and Blue. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Parker and Leroy Green; her daughter, Jennifer Rambo; her son, Darrin Rambo; and her former husband, Larry B. Rambo.

Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in our hearts forever.
