Mr. Alex Williams, Jr., brother of Carl M. Williams, passed away in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday, June 20, 2015.

The Homegoing Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Alex Williams, Jr. will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00PM at God's Church of Deliverance, 3950 Clement Road, Columbia, South Carolina, Bishop Milton Mosby, Pastor with Pastor James Murray, officiating and eulogist. Interment, Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Alex Williams Jr. was born on February 18, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Emma and Alex Williams, Sr.

Alex was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of C. A Johnson High School, Class of 1970.

At an early age, Alex joined Bethlehem Baptist Church of Columbia, South Carolina, where he was a member of the Senior Usher Board.

Alex Williams was the owner of A & B Masonry. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was witty, comical, smart and affectionate. He had a smile that would light up a room and a hug that was everlasting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma & Alex Williams and sisters, Fannie Blanks and Linda Williams-Smith.

Alex leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife, Betty Williams; son, Alex Williams, III; daughter, Tomesha Williams-Solomon (Ruddy); twelve grandchildren; brothers, Harold Williams (Irene), Carl Williams (Carol), Ralph Williams, Ricky Williams (Felecia) and Morris Williams (Classy); sister, Brenda Lamar (Tommy); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
