Virginia Wilson Hill

Virginia W. Hill, 85, of Atlanta GA, passed away on April 13th, 2019 in Austell, GA. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00, Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, with the, Rev Fr. Jerome McKenna and Rev. Mr. Joseph Goolsby, officiating.
Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10 a.m. Virginia was born in Stovall, Georgia to Lillian Wilson and Jimmy Horne on May 29,1933. She went to school in Stovall, Georgia. She married, Cason Lewis Hill (deceased) and they remained married for 52 years. She was a graduate of Clark-Atlanta University with a Bachelors in Education. Virginia worked for Fulton County School System for 32 years. She battled the desegregation of schools during her tenure. Virginia is survived by her Children, Alan Patrick (Melinda) Hill, Ronald and Derek Hill, her Grandchildren, Alan Chase Hill, and Monique Powell.
