I am the daughter of Roy L. Crowell. My dad was an student and graduate of Morris brown college in 1945 to 1949. I want to thank you Mr threatt
for speaking at my dad's funeral, in April 4, 1982.

That was great in that you spoke about my dad as a student and as a young man in the time that he was growing up. I want to thank you Helen for knowing my dad as well. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. May God continue to give you his presence peace, strength, love, comfort during this difficult time.

To the Threatt Family,
Dr. Threatt was a gentle giant of a man in the field of postsecondary education  and I count myself blessed to have been a student under his leadership at Morris Brown College. I often recall him quoting our alma mater in his many assemblies with us that "Morris Brown is a haven for all hungry souls." It still resonates in me. Family rest assured that he is most precious in the eyes of the Lord in his passing.

I will ALWAYS remember Dr. Robert Threatt as "MY" personal  MBC President. It is his signature that seals my official Morris Brown College Diploma, May 15, 1977.  He was a phenomenal giant of a man as Our MBC President, Educator, 1st Black GAE President,  NAACP President, and the world's Best Dancer, etc., etc.!!! He was and always be remembered as a dynamic and visionary President, who NEVER stopped giving back to our historic 133 year old HBCU institution, his students and community at large. It was an honor & privilege to work with him and his precious wife, "Mrs. Helen K. Threatt" while serving as President of the Women for MBC, Inc. 4 years ago.  He took care of her EVERY need.  Dr. Threatt was the "AIR" that she breathed!  We will take care of her for you Dr. Threatt. Rest In Paradise!
