Mr. William M. Wright of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013.

A Memorial Service for Mr. William M. Wright will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Carl M. Williams Funeral Directors, Inc.

William M. Wright was born November 1, 1931 of Albany, Georgia, one of eight children to the late Thomas and Ollie Wright.  In his early years, William enjoyed playing pool and had a passion for baseball.  He also loved to read anything pertaining to the medical field and stayed abreast on all current events.  He enjoyed debating politics with family and friends and found pleasure in a good western or war stories.  His favorite movie was “Saving Private Ryan.”
After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army, William spent a few years at Morris Brown College, and later was employed by the Federal Government for over 30 years. He received several awards at this time and was recognized for his great work ethics and dedication to his profession.

After his illness, William had a brief stay at Briarcliff Haven Nursing Facility that resulted in friendship with several of the staff members.  At Christmas time, they presented him with several gifts and made him feel welcomed.

William leaves to celebrate his life son, Carl Wright (Michele); his brothers, Nathaniel Wright, Robert Wright (Ozie) and Henry Wright; along with numerous family and friends.
