"Funeral service and burial are set for an Atlanta, Georgia soldier missing in action for 66 years"

Funeral service for SGT Stafford Lloyd Morris will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 80 Walnut St., SW, with Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr., Pastor, officiating.  Interment, South-View Cemetery with full military honors.  He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Virginia M. Phillips; nieces, Dr. Lynn Y. Jones and her children, Tiffany N. Jones and Cary D. Jones, Jr., Aprile (John) Newsome and her children, Teylor, Sydnee, and Giovanni, Charlene Odom, Michael Odom, and Danyielle Odom.

After 66 years the remains of US Army Sergeant, Stafford Lloyd Morris, a Korean War MIA/POW will return home on Thursday, August 10, 2017.  Sergeant Morris was a member of the U.S. Army, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division.  He was reported missing in action on December 1, 1950.  Later the communist forces reported he died in a POW camp on January 21, 1951. 
Sergeant Morris was only 24 years old at the time of his death
