Mrs. Carmen Jarvis

Mrs. Carmen Jarvis passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

The Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Carmen Jarvis will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017  at 3:00PM at First Congregational Church, 105 Courtland Street, Northeast. Her remains will be placed in state at 2:00PM.

Following the service in Atlanta, Mrs. Jarvis’ remains will be cremated and returned to Guyana for a Memorial Service and inurnment at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to establish The Carmen Jarvis Memorial Award – an annual plaque and monetary award presented to a student of the Bishops’ High School, Georgetown, Guyana, who, by nomination of his/her teachers, demonstrates “academic excellence and exemplary conduct”, values our mother sought to instill in her students.
