Funeral service for Mrs. Annette Fuller Fisher will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00AM at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 2295 Benjamin E. Mays Dr., S.W., The Reverend Dr. Damon P. Williams, Pastor with The Reverend Dr. Richard W. Wills, Sr., Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, South-View Cemetery. The remains will be placed in state at the church at 10:00AM. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the church on the morning of the service at 10:30AM.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the chapel of Carl M. Williams Funeral Directors, Inc., 492 Larkin Street, Southwest from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. 

Annette Josephine Fuller Fisher passed away on August 21,2016 at the age of 89. She is the daughter of Ruby and William Jefferson Fuller. Annette graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Elementary Education from Clark College in 1948. During her school years, Annette met many lifetime friends, who affectionately named her “AnnieJo”. Annette was joined in matrimony to Lorenza Fisher Jr. in August 1952. The couple was married for 64 years and had 2 children, Natalie Fisher Colbert and Stephen Lorenza Fisher.

Eager to begin serving the educational community, Annette took her first teaching job in the Atlanta Public Schools System at E.R. Carter Elementary School. During her career, Annette continued her devotion to the Atlanta Public School System; she taught at Pitts, Slater, Craddock, and Cascade Elementary Schools. Annette retired from Cascade Elementary after over 40 plus years.

She is survived by her husband Lorenza; children, Natalie(Reginald) and Stephen( Valarie); granddaughter, Alexandra Elizabeth Colbert; grandson, Jonathan Wesley Colbert (Christine); great-granddaughter,Ella Simone Christensen Colbert; brother-in-law, Joseph Henry Fisher; and nephews, Michael and Eric (Ruthshell) Troup.
