Dr. Hill was my professor at Morehouse, and I always enjoyed our discussions. As a non tradtiional student and army veteran, it was refreshing to speak with someone with as much life experience. He will be missed, and always appreciated! Prayers to his family.

To Mrs. Virginia Hill & Family:

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Dr. Cason Louis Hill.. As a member of the College Language Association (CLA) I knew him for many years. In addition, I had the honor of working closely with Dr. Hill for eight years as part of the CLA Executive Committee. He was a man of great integrity, who was always " . . . ready to do good, to speak no evil about anyone, to live in peace, and to be gentle and polite to all people" (Titus 3:2, NCV). May you rest in peace, gentle warrior, for you are in the hands of a just and merciful God.

I am saddened by the passing of Dr. Cason Hill. I worked with him for many years as an Advisory Editor and Associate Editor of the CLA Journal and had the pleasure of presenting him with the CLA Presidential Award during my presidency of CLA upon his retirement. He was a tireless worker, attentive to detail, a real expert when it came to careful editing and producing a first rate publication.. He was fun, but did not tolerate nonsense. I enjoyed his company and learned much from him. I wish him rest and his family comfort.

I am sorry to learn of the death of your beloved family member. May you be comforted by the words found at Psalm 34:18; Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; May this scripture help you with the grief and sadness now and in the days ahead.

To The Family, May you have peace and comfort during this most grievous time. The Bible speaks of death as an enemy. 1 Corinthians 15:26 refers to death as the, "last enemy." Almighty God is going to eliminate this enemy in the future. That same scripture says, it is going to be destroyed forever .What a wonderful future blessing when death is going forever. May you continue to have peace and comfort during this most difficult time.
